Our MA in Theology course, validated by the University of Chester, is specially designed for in-service completion for those in ministry/mission and secular vocations. The course is constructed to allow students flexibility in personal organisation of their studies.

MA Course Organisation

The course, which is constructed to allow students a measure of flexibility in the personal organisation of their studies, is normally offered part-time over a total of three years. During the first two years students complete 100 credits by studying five modules.

In September, January and May of each academic year, teaching blocks take place in the College. Students attend lectures/seminars and are involved in tutorials. Assessment tasks are set which must be completed and submitted by the next teaching block.

Following the completion of the taught modules, students prepare and submit a dissertation, the title and subject area of which is decided in consultation with the teaching staff.

It is possible to exit the course at different stages: Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits, 3 modules) and Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits, 6 modules but with no dissertation). For admission to this course an applicant will have a relevant undergraduate degree and/or professional experience. Overseas applicants also require IELTS 6.5.
